Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the AI Meal Planner & Recipe mobile application (the “App”) operated by AI Meal Planner & Recipe (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use information.

1. The Service

AI Meal Planner & Recipe is an AI-powered meal planning application that helps you:

Generate recipes from text prompts describing meals, ingredients, or cravings
Create multi-day week plans with scheduled meals
Build and manage shopping lists from your recipes and plans
Save favourites, customize generation preferences, and share exported lists and plans (subject to your subscription tier)

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate content. AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs. You are responsible for reviewing all output before use.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian’s permission to use the App and agree to these Terms.

3. Accounts

When you first open the App, we automatically create an anonymous account for you. You are not required to register with an email address or password.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any access to the App on your device. We are not liable for unauthorized use of the App on your device.

You may request deletion of your account and associated server-side data at any time by contacting support@aimealsplanner.com. See our Privacy Policy for details. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

4. AI-Generated Content

The App generates recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists using artificial intelligence. You acknowledge and agree that:

AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
Generated recipes may not account for all dietary restrictions, allergens, or food safety requirements
You must independently verify all ingredients, quantities, cooking instructions, and food safety practices before preparing or consuming any meal
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content

The in-app disclaimer applies: responses are generated with AI and may contain errors.

5. Health, Nutrition, and Allergy Disclaimer

The App does not provide medical, nutritional, or allergy advice.

AI Meal Planner & Recipe is a meal planning tool for general informational and convenience purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or nutritional advice.

You acknowledge and agree that:

The App may allow you to specify allergies and dietary preferences, but AI-generated recipes may still contain allergens or unsuitable ingredients
You are solely responsible for verifying all ingredients and recipes for allergens, intolerances, and dietary suitability before use
You should consult a qualified healthcare or nutrition professional regarding any medical condition, dietary restriction, or allergy
We are not liable for any adverse reaction, illness, injury, or harm resulting from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content

6. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers a free tier with limited features and usage, as well as paid auto-renewable subscription plans (“Pro” and “Premium”). Subscription features, pricing, and billing periods are displayed in the App and on the App Store product page at the time of purchase.

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate shown in the App Store
The price and billing period (for example, monthly or annual) for each subscription are shown on the App Store purchase screen before you confirm your purchase
You can manage and cancel subscriptions by going to your Apple ID Account Settings → Subscriptions after purchase
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies. We do not process refunds directly

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App, our servers, or networks connected to the App
Use the App to generate content that is harmful, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable
Circumvent usage limits, subscription restrictions, or security measures
Use automated means to access the App or send requests beyond normal personal use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, branding, and content (excluding user-generated prompts and AI output), is owned by AI Meal Planner & Recipe and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the prompts and content you input into the App. By using the App, you grant us a license to process your input as necessary to provide the service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AI MEAL PLANNER & RECIPE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if we discontinue the App.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved in the courts of the United States, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

15. Apple-Specific Terms

The following applies to your use of the App obtained through the Apple App Store:

These Terms are between you and AI Meal Planner & Recipe, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”)
Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, or consumer protection claims
In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, we — not Apple — are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App (for example, your wireless data service agreement)
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
